Most Carnivores Have a Thrasher Weapon?

Am I missing something, or is this mechanic slightly broken? It seems that with the +8 to weapons that carnivores get that almost all of them will be using a thrasher weapon.

I think it's intended to counter the -ve's for carnivorous flyers to ensure a carnivore gets a suitable weapon.

tbh, at the top end, I use a justification for the 'weapon' based on what I envision the creature to be and choose one from the lethal end of the table - the tables can be seen as just meant as a guide, after all.

Yes, I suspect I will start to somewhat ignore this rule. The only real difference regards the die bonus to attack. I don't see why it would matter if we just flavor the attack however we see the monster.
