The new Victory at Sea line of 1/1800 ships continues to grow, as we unveil;

HMS York
HMS Leander
HMS Neptune
HMS Ajax
Tribal-class Destroyers

You can find all these ships at;

If you order promptly, these ships will be in your hands before Christmas!

Coming in January, the first of the battleships, including Bismarck, Hood and the entire King George V-class!

Very nice!

Are the masts moulded onto the ship or are they separate pieces? If possible, I'd like to leave them off and scratch-build masts from thinner steel rod.

I'm a member of a group that plays the WOTC game War at Sea. Wizards has apparently discontinued its line of miniatures for the game, much to the dismay of many. As your models are the same scale, they would obviously be of use to those of us who wish to add ships to our War at Sea fleets.

I'd like to know how extensive a line you mean to create. I've already ordered a few of your ships from a U.S. supplier and could see myself ordering more.

Also, is there a possibility of a World War 1 range at some time in the future?

The masts are indeed seperate, so you can easily scratch-build your own!

The line will be very extensive - as you can already see, we are doing not just each class of ship, but individual cruisers. We already have 70 ships designed digitally, and we are currently adding more at a rate of 1 every 2 days, on average.

Our stated aim is to cover everything that ever floated in WWII, but that will take a fair while :)

After that, WWI could be a possibility, or we may go forward into modern/cold war territory, but we have really not given that any serious thought. Plenty to be getting on with in World War II!

Excellent news. I think you will have a lot of takers if you keep the price at the level I'm seeing. The sets are probably a good idea initially. I know a lot of us are anxious to fill in the holes we have in KGV, Queen Elizabeth classes, etc., not to mention all the cruisers that WOTC didn't get to.

And yes, I imagine it would take "a fair while" to get to everything that floated in World War II.

Good luck in getting the navies refloated.

Just in case people do not realize it, in less than two years it will be the 100th anniversary of the start of "The Great War", or more known as WW1. That may be a good time to create a WW1 game or supplement.

Good, because this is the model of "HMS Ajax '39", this is a photo of HMS Ajax as in 1939, and the Wikipedia article about HMS Ajax says that the tripod mast and radar were part of a refit in 1940. So that model of HMS Ajax is very nice for action in the Mediterranean against the Italians, but I'll need to undo the refit if it is to face the Graf Spee. :) (Failing that, I'll just get HMS Leander, which has the old style mast, and use it as HMS Ajax for the River Plate, then keep HMS Ajax for Matapan...)

Dear Moongoose Team,
just wanted to say thank you for your great miniatures, I just ordered the Battle of the River Plate set, I can't wait to get my hands on it (my first minis I try to paint :oops: ).
I have got just one quick question, are you planing some sets/single minis with submarines (U-Boot Typ VII)?
Thanks alot for your answer and great work.
Greetings Patrick

Yes, submersibles are indeed coming - along with motor torpedo boats, aircraft, civilian shipping, harbour pieces, land invasion forces, and land invasion targets!

Oh I cant wait new stuff for my naval gaming. Navy battle, then beach invasion, then I can switch to land rules to complete the invasion of Normandy or Italy or go crazy and hit Greece or Malta.

I received the Battle of the River Plate set this week. Nicely done. Can you tell us when we might expect some more of the sets and individual ships to get into the pipeline?

Over the next 2-6 months, you will see a veritable fleet of ships coming out!

Great. I'll look forward to it. That should give me some time to start painting the ones I just received.

any plans on having a set that has the hms hood and others chasing and sinking the bismark.

You mean like the "Battle of the Denmark Strait" Box Set. Listed on the Website as in production and has a Release date of April?

Then I would say yes there is a plan in place for that. :)
