There are purists who do not like art in Traveller. Whereas, I am not one of them...I really like the tone set by Spinward Marches, 760 Patrons and parts of the Main Rulebook. I do like the grimy look and my Traveller Universe is large enough to accomodate a shiny chrome look too. It rather surprises me, MGT being a Mongoose product, is rather bereft of art. Is this a conscious direction to appeal to the miminalists or is it the case the best yet to come.

As cheaper direction I would approach the independent artists such as those who make deviantart their home and offer them some money to design covers, if you cannot get the likes of the Honor Harrington's artist onboard.

I'd like to see all the art in the books being done by whoever did those really nice shaded spacecraft drawings in the spaceship design section.

I really would like Mongoose to stop using the guy who did the Psion art though - that was awful IMO.

As to how much art, I think the amount in the corebook is fine as it is - enough to break things up and illustrate things, but not too much.

If more art means a higher price, I am perfectly willing to forego it. :D

While I want more art, I also am willing to forgo more art when coupled with added expense.

My turn:

"While remaining generally in favor of increased inclusion of graphic art, I would recommend mongoose eschew any such changes should the implementation increase required expenditure upon actual product such that final price to customer must be increased."

Which Traveller career produces characters with English-5 ?

I'd like there to be minimal art in the pocket book. Everything else, I'm ambivilant about - although I can't really see how you could do a setting book well without art. I heard the 2000AD titles might be in full colour.....

Yes, more art, more art, more color.

While I know the art in T4 was not created specifically for traveller, I feel it adds a little more to the reality of the game and can be used for great story hooks.
