I didn't like it.
But most of my mates did. And I can think of three or four of them who would buy a Monkey RPG.

Monkey I loved it as a kid, and saw some recently and loved them still, though I have no idea why - prehaps its the strangeness, or those sideburns.....
Rather than just a Monkey game, the idea mostly around these parts is that a proper oriental style RPG, with all kinds of mythical chinesse and japanese funking about was the order of the day (Something that could do Monkey, The Water Margin, Crouching Tiger, Storm Riders).
Legend of the 5rings is great, but a bit dour I want it to be more crouchy dragon style, rather than quasi-mystical samurai posturing.

Oh yes its got to be fast, fun and funny (anyone who takes stormridder seriously need special tablets from the nice man in the white coat). Basically a series of films where plot lines just don't get explored or explained that features lots of ariel, flying magic hurling ninja and swords men and classical comedy moments (the demise of the astrally projecting swordmaster is quite possibly the funniest moment in movie history).

I haven't seen Monkey, but I'm watching Legend of Condor Heroes (both anime and live versions) and would be first to volunteer to write such a project if we ever decided to do it
