Have a look at Monkey Story generator for a bit of laugh.

Speaking of that new Monkey show. I hear it's been given a Eastern Punk theme and some of it is being done in Australia.

So, this new actor is better a stick fighing , we shall see about that.

MY personal casting choices for the new MONKEY show.

I had imagined Jet Lee might make a good Monkey, maybe even even Jacki Chan. Sammo Hung ( I hope that is the correct spelling of his name.) a good Pigsy. Kevin Costner as Sandy or Friar Sand.

NO, I'm just kidding about last one.

thank you glad in japan boys and girls equally play 8)which systems for roleplaying are the most popular

From the people I know, I'd say Vampire is the most popular. I know one group that plays it in real time (e.g. only in the middle of the night).

I don't know if the new Monkey actor is better at _real_ stickfighting or not, but he's basically a dancer by profession (not an actor) in his group SMAP (think of the Backstreet Boys minus any vocal talent or song writing talent...is that bad enough?). Actually, the guys in the group are all good dancers and he's well co-ordinated.

More Japan TV trivia: the group also do a Monday night cooking program!! They invite some other 'talent' onto their hour long TV show, cook something, have a bit of a laugh and sing a song at the end. And people wonder why I'm always at the DVD store...

Cheers,

Eisho

I'm not so sure about this new series. Sounds alot like Mighty Morphin Power Rangers to me. Which while isn't so bad in it self is still too much like fast food rather than a proper meal.

I have not read any of the posts, but you do realise that Monkey always has a Moral message at the end of the episode. So if you are going to do a Monkey RPG, you also need to have a good insight to the revelations of Buddha and his journeys

Its not exactly difficult to tie in a meaning to a game episode. All my scenarios in any campaign have underlying themes, symbols and the like running through them.

And it makes a bit of a change than having each session end being a tot up of the current genocide to xp rates...
