on ITV4 or BBC4(!), can not remember which, but those with the relevant channels would be able to find out.

Anyway back to your normal programming.

We've been on it for about a year now after checking with Mongoose it was ok to use their OGL Ancients logo on it - the original announcement is buried deep back in the thread :)

Wuxia's doing some work on the book too, THM himself is helping out and playtest chapters are out any minute now (although I've been saying that for about 3 months and now am full of understanding every time anyone else delays a product ;) )

Ohh, I must admit, I did not read all 80 pages of this thread...

Also, I was a little surprised that THM did not respond to your call for playtesters as he lives so close to you guys!

I am looking forward to this game when it comes out!

He's already on the playtest team :)

And alas, I'm not a part of Mongoose (apart from the occasional freelance stint here and there), this is an independent product under the OGL Ancients and probably d20 logo licences

OGL Ancients is Mongoose's rulebook for roleplaying in the ancient world, in the same product line as OGL Steampunk, OGL Wild West, OGL Horror, etc. It's pretty much a standalone modified d20 (read: D&D compatible) ruleset in the same way as the Starship Troopers RPG.

Journey to the West currently looks like it'll be d20/OGL Ancients dual-logoed meaning it'll work with either OGL Ancients, the Mongoose Pocket Players Handbook, or any old Players Handbook made by a bunch of wizard fellas. It'll also probably work nicely with any other RPG based off the same base rules set (you can tell them from the d20 or OGL logo on them, mostly) with a little work.
