Mongoose Traveller Master index for all released books.

Banded Mongoose
Update: after posting this to a Traveller facebook group I was asked to post this directly to the mongoose forums. Another user there Anstett also posted this to the "Only 1 computer" thread here as well (I appreciate that by the way, thank you.).

After watching some videos from Ardwulf and seeing a few threads from people wishing there was a sort of master index for Mgt2 I decided, "I can do that!" This index uses all source books currently released by Mongoose via Drivethrurpg up to Bounty Hunter, and is complete as of 7/24/24. It also includes all released JTAS books. It does not include 2300AD.

The index itself covers ships, ship weapons, ship equipment, vehicles, vehicle weapons, vehicle equipment, player equipment, player weapons, robots, wildlife encounters, and playable sophont species. The index is broken up by heading, and then further divided by source book. The books are not mixed I kept them all seperate for ease of identification. The section headings are in red and the source book headings are in blue for ease of navigation. All entries show the source book page numbers and if applicable the tech level of the item listed. I have also included a table of contents that is fully bookmarked.

All content in this index is the property of the respective rights holders and I make no claim whatsoever. I simply organized the information in a way that was useful for me. Use this document as you see fit and modify it to your needs.

The new JTAS 13-18 volume kickstarter just recently reached a goal to also include a complete index booklet of the entire JTAS series.
The correct statement would be: "kickstarter just recently added a goal to also include a complete index booklet".
As it is placed at 125 k£ and the campaign is currently at 107, I think it's rather unlikely that it will actually be reached.
Then again, I'm not a regular "Kickstart supporter", so maybe there's usually a final rush of supporters?

JTAS I - 901 backers, £64,324
JTAS II -1,146 backers, £118,994
JTAS III -1,048 backers, £109,563 4 days to go, the creatives may get their second bonus but the index may not make it.
We shall see...

The last few days sees a huge rush on Kickstarter. I believe it will make it. Fingers crossed.

I can dream and I do. That being said I think Mongoose is interested in the idea and I think we might get it later down the line. The fact they put it in as a stretch goal gives me hope.

Hi,

Very useful.

Another category you could add are psionic powers. There are some in Core Book and AoCS volumes with Droyne and Zhodani.

yeah that is quite the resource there. Love it and using it quiet heavily as I am doing my first big Traveller writing job. Research is the best part of writing after all!!

Funny as I was reading through the Deep and the Dark just the other day and I came across a mention of the TL15 Ilelish-class battleship and I was like... whoa.. I want to see that. Unfortunately nothing further in that book so immediately thought to use this to try to find it in previous books and see what that baby is all about...

Wow. I really feel humbled hearing this. I wrote it figuring people would find it maybe useful in small ways. Thank you.

Update again
JTAS I - 901 backers, £64,324
JTAS II -1,146 backers, £118,994
JTAS III -1,159 backers, £121,111 28 hours to go, the creatives get their bonus, we should get the index, any more secret goals for the last day?
More backers and more money than I and II, is Traveller getting more popular thanks to the good work of Mongoose?

I just wish there was an add on for digital versions rather than dead tree versions. I will wait until those couple of items come to the store.
