Mongoose really NEED to do this model!

Not also that the Apache is a much bigger bird than any of the others mentioned.

In fact its rotors are about as wide in diameter as the Mangusta is long...

(I seem to remember that it has a top speed that's greater than both the Cobra, Apache and Tiger!).

They all appear to be 150 knots at top speed and the Apache 158

Nope, Magusta's recorded top speed, according to my Encyclopedia of modern aircraft, is 179kts or 315Km/h... a bit faster than the apache (160 kts).

do you mean radius ? as evan a mangustas rotors are longer in diameter than its length, infact all helis need to be unless they have 2 sets of rotors.

id like to see more troop transport helis than gun ships to be honest so enthesis goes back to infantry.

Yeah, a UH-60 with side mounted miniguns and rocket pods would be nice... what's that? 6D6 shots covering your advancing troops?

At least I think that 6D6 shots aren't unreasonably for a minigun...

The only problem with transport helos are that they are even bigger RPG targets than APCs because they remain stationary for a period of time to land and take off... that's what killed them in the famous black hawk down incident. Very few actions use helos coming down while the area is "hot" because they are bullet magnets of the highest magnitude, you're much more likely to see an attack helicopter doing a straffing run.

Hmmm...

Maybe the figures I was looking at used the overall length of the helicopter (including the rotors) since they list both the Apache and Mangusta as having rotor diameter less than their length...

In fact about three metres less in the case of the Apache...

:?

Or it could have been that I actually intended to say that the Apache is considerably longer than the Mangusta's rotors are wide...
Can't remember now...
