That is correct - we needed something that flowed a lot faster so you can leap across decks while carrying a treasure chest and fighting off a Skeleton Captain without worrying about how many modifiers you are going to be stacking

As biased as I may be (!), this is a really fun game that has already created some great tales in our group!
