Missing Equipment

There is some missing mundane gear missing from the equipment section that are important. Things like flashlights, preserved food or rations, and canteens. This is basic equipment that should be listed and available.

I would have expected that kind of stuff to show up in the Central Supply Catalogue the way they did in 1st ed.

General Survival Gear. It's called Electric Torch. TL5. In the CSC copy, that I'm checking for typos. TL7+ does more.

So, to get a flashlight in the game, people have to buy the Central Supply Catalog instead of having it in the Core Rulebook?

Referees and players can have anything they want in their games.

No, just give the characters one from the Ship's Locker. A lack of an entry in a rule book should never stop you from giving equipment like that out. I have not seen a listing for lots of equipment that my characters have received nd used. Not sure I am understanding how you jump from no entry in a rule book to something not existing.

We're introducing the Palm Beacon in the CSC. A smart light source, powered by the latest DEO chips from Cymbeline to provide intelligent adjustment of lighting levels to compensate for ambient light conditions. TL 9. Cr 5000.

Edit: This was not meant to be serious.

Cymbeline? Good God, smash it to pieces. It will take over all the flashlights around itself and overload them until they blow up!

When we release the CSC for your review, we will have a section whereby you can nominate items for inclusion in Core - can't have too many but a few won't hurt.
