Minbari Valen-class cruiser - ideas? (Lost Tales spoilers)

If it's a Minbari ship then why does it have Starfuries? I thought it was ISA/IA?

Sheridan's personal fighter? Dunno. Feels like Sheridan would be flying around in starfury than Nial and since Sheridan is seen flying in starfury(or is that in the dream sequence?) would make sort of sense...

I guess it´s an Minbari-tech based ship built exclusively for the ISA, just like the Victory is a mostly human-style ship, also built exclusively for the alliance. Let´s hope they continue to built two different ranges of ships (3 with the Stars), instead of mixing everything up again as they did in the first Valen.

Maybe but then again well protected command ship(which it logically would probably be) would probably be somewhat better than skirmish and definetly over patrol.

I mean if I was designing ship to carry around president of big alliance I would be making damned sure it's not going to pop up first time some lousy patrol ship decides to open fire :lol:

Might be candinate even for stealth 6...

The starfury might be from the destination, and it is escorting the minbo ship. Like an honour guard or something. After all it is the presidential crusier. But it would be kind of cool if it is Sheridan old star fury.

I havent seen the film damned delivery is slow. Does the Minbo cruiser have any weapons? it reminds me of that Miliani diplomatic carrier varient.

Well I would be willing to bet good money it has SOME weapons(though we probably don't see them in action) for self defence but since it's refered to as presidential cruiser methinks it's more of transport than warship and therefore wouldn't be heavily armed.

My estimate would be fusion cannons as main armament. Enough to make small patrol ships and fighter wings worry but nothing to hold it's own against full warship(well except with it's defences which probably would make certain races war level ships be ashamed of their own defences ).

And The Ship is referred to as a Valen Class cruiser in the movie, not anything special besides this.

Similar technolgy, different ship. The ship in the film is based on the vorchan, not a completely new hull, like this ...

well there is no longer a Vorchat but it'd be nice to see this advanced-Vorchan added some day

No beams though, watching the battle scene they appear to carry the typical Centauri weaponry
