Minbari Patrol Level Ship

think the valen if it were to be used as that would be a unique ship with a couple of mini-beams, stealth and a single flight of fighters at patrol level for the ISA.
minbari whilst they could do with a patrol ship as one of the older races their power doesnt really go that low. heck the nolo'tar and liandra are old fashioned minbari vessels that are out of commision and given to the rangers so can you see the minbari having something weaker than these still in their navy?

The vast majority of ships included in the fleet lists for ATCA are NEVER seen or even mentioned in the series at all. For example the Minbari, in the series, only ever have Sharlins, Nials and Flyers so you cant really say 'well thats not the way it happens in the series' although people tend to far to often on these forums forgetting that the game is only based upon the series and details have been hugely expansed to fit the tabletop.
For this reason you can't stop any fleet from having a ship because 'they wouldn't have something that weak in their navy'. Every ship has a different use, for example Flyers are used by ambassadors and dignitaries to travel. Long and short of it, every fleet should have a CHOICE in what they can decide to take in a game to make fleets reasonably equal, although many arne't (can you say SHADOWS?)

When Valen is introduced, and you see the Shadow War in action 1,000 years ago, you do see the Tinashi and other Minbari ships. I think a very small number were invented for the Minbari, maybe one or two.
Also I'd much rather have the Valen at skirmish, since we have such strong Patrol options as it is, with the Blue Star and all those various fighters.
The Victories guns are obvious, but it also has turrets that came forth through the armor plating, as was shown on Crusade. I imagine the Valen has something similar, though typically you have that AND some actual gun placements. The Sharlin has gun placements up the butt, they're everywhere.
