the specs mentioned 100 metric tons of cargo, so I drew a circle around a 100 dton square, added an upper deck with a turrent, a turret on the bottom, and a third pop-up turret, I believe according to traveller rules, a starship with three turrets would have to be at least 300 dtons, so I started out with a 400 dton corsair, and modified it to have the features of the Millenium Falcon. Han Solo laid claim for it being the "fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy" I take that to be a slight exageration, but of course it is a fast ship, since Lando called him a pirate, I started with a Pirate's Corsair, which is 400 tons. The standard corsair has Jump 2 and thrust 3, I raised both to 4, so I needed bigger drives and power plant, all size H, and of course enough fuel to make a jump-4 The Falcon Specs mentions quad lasers, and the core rules only deal with triple turrets, so I created a quadruple turret and assigned a reasonable price for it. In A New Hope, the Falcon jettisoned its escape pods, so I added escape pods. In the Empire Strikes Back, The Falcon had its rear deflector shields knocked out, so I created a Deflector shield based on a black globe. In the classic High Guard, a minimum black globe was 10 displacement tons and cost MCr400, a major portion of the cost of this ship is the deflector shield which works by both reducing damage from energy weapons and absorbing 8 hits before any additional hits are applied to the structure, hull or compartments. After adding all this, reducing the number of staterooms from 10 to 4 and low berths from 20 to 8, there was 60 dtons of cargo space left.Infojunky said:400 dTons?!? Where?
Had to make it bigger to have 3 turrets, and had to give it a decent jump rating and maneuver rating to uphold its reputation as a "fast ship" this required larger fuel tanks, drives, and power plant, all size H. It has 3 quad lasers, one on top, one underneath, and one in a pop-up turrent next to the loading ramp, and controlled from the bridge Assume it is the overall Shape of the Millenial falcon, but make it bigger to equal 400 dtons. The rules for Star Wars ships and Traveller ships are somewhat different. I assumed they were pulse lasers. I never seen it fire a beam weapon or missiles. So the two bits of nonstandard tech are the quad pules lasers and the deflector shield, which is by itself more than half the cost of this starship. It is "owned" by an actor named "Harrison Ford" 2.0 from the artificial planet Magrethera, a copy of the Earth, the fiction starship was also copied, since the AI that constructed it, didn't know precisely how it work, it substituted the closest traveller tech in had available and adjusted the starship's size accordingly, the deflector shield was of its own design. The replicant Actor "Harrison Ford" somehow has knowledge of how to fly this starship, some of the fictional Han Solo's memories were mixed in with his own. Also there were two robots discovered onboard the starship, and gold-plated humanoid robot C3PO who Harrison Ford one time tried to unmask thinking it was Anthony Daniels, but it turned out to be a real robot, the other robot that looks sort of like a dome-topped trash can called R2D2 that beeps and whistles and only C3PO can translate. Harrison Ford has been unable to locate Chewbacca or even the actor who played him, he signed on another Actor "William Shatner" as his crewmate, who's "Enterprise" has yet to be found. The two are just copies of Actors that lived a long time ago. Harrison Ford has memories of having a broken leg which according to him has miraculously mended with no sign of it ever being broken, he is careful around the hydrolic lift ramp door of the Falcon however!wbnc said:Don't forget the anti-personnel plasma gun in a pop down mount for ground fire...

A beefed-up hyperdrive system is at the core of the Falcon's increased speed, which is well above the light-speed plus point one capability of the standard Corellian YT-1300. Four fuel slug tanks in the ship's power core give her an increased range, even at extreme speeds and engine temperatures. While repairs to her various systems must usually be performed each time the ship lands, she refuels at an average rate of only once per month.
The Falcon's increased speed let to the need for a more advanced navicomputer than that of the standard YT-1300. Precise calculations are required for the complex hyperspace entry and exit procedures used by faster-that-flight vessels, and the Falcon is no exception. Solo, using an unconventional (and usually risky) combination of different starship and droid logic systems has improvised a navicomputer processing matrix that not only works, but works well.
Lando Calrissian, the ship's former owner, replaced the standard Corellian twin-guns atop the Falcon with both dorsal and ventral quad-lasers. Solo later added even greater firepower by increasing the size of the each barrel's energization crystal, providing this ship with laser beam intensity that can destroy a pursuing light ship (such as a TIE fighter) with a single hit. These formidable weapons, designed for prolonged use without overheating, can be fired either from their corresponding turret stations or from the cockpit. Remote cockpit operation, however generally provides less accurate targeting than can be attained manually.
A third, steerable blaster cannon, smaller and far less powerful, can be lowered from a compartment in the Falcon's forward starboard hull. This weapon is only used while the Falcon is on the ground, and is controlled from a targeting panel in the cockpit.
Concussion missiles housed in the lower center-forward mandible can be fired with great accuracy from this same firing control panel. These missiles, powerful enough to penetrate any ship's hull (even through light shielding), pack more punch than either lasers or proton torpedoes can. Only two missiles were used by the Falcon in destroying the main reactor of Death Star II.
The Millennium Falcon carries a Solo-enhanced deflector shield system, one equal to any comparably-sized unit in use by Imperial forces. The ship's twin shield generator/projectors are housed against the forward main hull, protruding into the Falcon's mandibles. The shields can be angled and reinforced against enemy fire, making all deflector power available whether the Falcon is engaged in frontal attack or full retreat. In addition, a navigational deflector system mounted between the ship's forward mandibles normally keeps space ahead clear of small-to-microscopic impact debris.
One of the Falcon's most notable features her topside port-mounted radar dish, huge for a vessel her size and added by Solo as insurance against detection by distant foes. The dish and its hardware allow the Falcon to spot other ships in space (and then change course if necessary) several minutes before the possibly unfriendly vessels know the Falcon is there.
Cargo is generally on-and-offloaded via two port and starboard loading ports. These lead to the ship's three cargo holds the forward of which is the largest. Much of the vessels's propulsion and power allotment circuitry snakes its way through the bulkheads of the forward hold, with several removable floor and ceiling panels providing access. The aft blukhead of the room is dominated by the Falcon's engineering station, along with several large power, coolant and control conduits. An adjoining circuitry bay lies beyond a door in the portside bulkhead.
The ship normally carries five personal escape pods which are housed in an evacuation bay after of the power core. These life capsules can be ejected from the vessel's underside via a manually-opened hull panel between the Falcon's aft landing gear placements. At this time the Falcon carries only two escape pods, for three were dumped as a decoy when the ship was taken by tractor beam into the Death Star.
In the OTU, this ship is a rarity, quadruple turrets are not usually the norm, and black globe generators on private ships are unusual. As a merchant vessel this ship gives up cargo space for increased performance, usually the most expensive cargos are hauled in ships such as this. For a pirate, there is 100% profit in theft, so this sort of compensates for the limited cargo space of this starship. Of course "Captain Harrison" uses this starship to explore the neighboring systems around Magrethera, and he is likely to encounter a number of different races and civilizations.
