Matthew Sprange Interview

If you'll forgive the promotion of a new podcast here you might be interested to listen to an interview with Matthew Sprange on the initial episode of Geek-A-Saurus. This was recorded last weekend at the UK Games Expo.

Many thanks to Matthew for being such a good sport, as this was not at all planned or announced. It's a fairly general interview, since we didn't want to get too deeply into things at a show not aimed at hard-core gamers, but came out pretty well.

Not bad for a first round. I'd cut the length down to 20 minutes, 30 tops as a goal.
It wanders all of the place a bit, a more focused agenda with pithy commentary would be in order. There were a number of giddy inside jokes/half explained references to local gaming sessions/players that are a bit hard to follow/slightly annoying to outsiders but if your series takes off and people get moe familiar with you this will decrease (at least for regulars).
I'm interested enough in 00 to at least listen to version 1.

Thanks. I'll pass your comments along to Hal and Lindsay who do the show (I just provide some content to RPGMP3 and GAS, such as the interview.)

The in-jokes and references are probably the inevitable result of RPGMP3.com being around so long; I think it has been mentioned by other listeners that not everyone will know what RPGMP3 is or how it relates to GAS, so that's an area to address.

The show length is bound to be a topic for debate. Hal originally mentioned half an hour as a likely target, but particularly with the interviews we've sent along it's very easy for this to balloon. It doesn't help, for those that like shorter podcasts, that there are plenty of others saying "It's too short!" but like many elements I expect that things will settle down after a couple of episodes.
