Matt...a request

Whitehaven

Mongoose
Hi,
As we all eagerly await the big reveal of ACTA.SF. I would like to make a request...
As the new minatures are a big part in selling the new game,And a lot of people like me will already have a large collection of the 2400 line already, could you included a picture of say, the D7 with one mini from each line side by side for comparrison...
Once people see the 2 scales side by side it might help to calm peoples nerves about the new scale.

I think any pics of minis or any information would be nice. I have only been wargaming for like a year and a half but I have been a trek fan since I was in a high chair so I am pretty excited for this game so any info would be most welcome.

So Matt, how did the game go down at ClaudiaCon at the weekend? I saw a Mongoose tweet but was expecting someone to jump in on the forum and give us a report.

Sorry, was tied up at the con and could not do a proper report.

Got a few games in with the latest version of the rules and I was really quite happy with the way they held together.

The game is quick (needs to be a trifle quicker, but working on that) but, more importantly, it has a very good feel to it - Dilithium Chambers spiraling out of control due to damage and the crew desperately trying to bring them back to operation before they blow. Ships with fires on all decks trying to retreat so they can repair and come back into the fight.

Awesome stuff :)

And that was just with a couple of Federation Heavy Cruisers. We'll have the D6 to play around with soon, and Sandrine is just finishing off the Federation Battlecruiser and Command Cruiser (the latter getting its own model for the first time!).

That sounds awesome, Matt! :)

Thanks for letting us know! :)

Can't remember the Dilithium chambers going postal like that in the SFU before, but I have to admit, I like the idea...

I think they renamed the dilithium chamber the 'warp core' in TNG and that seemed to go postal on a fairly regular basis, so it fits, it definately fits.

Proof that there are pictures of painted minis out there.
