When rewriting the sensors portion of the spaceships, and potentially handheld and vehicle mounted ones, be sure to update them for ranges
For example you would have a civilian ship sensor at TL 9 (for example), which is 1 ton and 50000 CR, providing -1 DM for all sensor usage within "long range" whatever you decide that is, and -2 ad very long, then -3 at distant and does not scan at very distant and more.
Then you would also have a TL 10 civilian sensor which has the same tonnage (1 ton), but is 100000 CR and provides +0 DM within Long Range, -1 at Very Long, -2 at Distant and -3 at Very Distant, but does not scan beyond Very Distant.
