Mass Effect - Campaign Setting for Traveller

Mithias

Mongoose
The world is so rich and fleshed out, it would be awesome if Mongoose could grab the rights for the ME RPG Campaign Setting for Traveller. That would just be full of win. :)

Who knows? Maybe Bioware will even go for it?

If they get the licence they have a guaranteed customer for the life of the licence here!! been waiting for a Mass Effect rpg for ages but figured any licence would be delayed till after the third game is done so as to not mess up any campaigns set during the storyline.
Hopefully mongoose gets it as green ronin are ok but i dont think they have ever done a scifi rpg before so i'd rather someone with experience in the genre give it a try.

This would indeed be rather cool. The only thing I wonder about is how they'd work out weapon overheating; a certain number of shots before you have to eject a thermal clip would be easier, but I preferred the ME1 system of having to let your weapon cool down. After all, what's the point of having infinite ammo if you have to carry finite heat sinks?

I've already mocked this up for Traveller, and I can say it plays really well with that rule set. I'd love to see an official treatment.

The way I handled heat sinks was to treat them as having either 1/4 the ammo (with a DM of -1 for each increment of 5), with the player needing to wait a full round to cool down (and reduce the DM to 0), or 1/2 the ammo and they need to worry about carrying extra heat sinks. I give my players the option of either. Since combat is short and they dislike clutter, they tend toward cooldown over heat sinks.

Whatever about all the books there are for traveller and how useful they are, but if there were a Mass Effect RPG I would more than likely buy every supplement that came out.
