I've noticed in certain books like Book of the Magnakai, some disciplines say they can add their rank or part of their rank as bonus to the difficulty to effect them with magic or certain types of magic....my question....when does this ever occur? I thought spells were treated like attacks using combat ratings, so I'm confused, do certain enemies have special rules when spellcasting? Cause it seems like a Ice Barbarian of Kalte that can be "near impervious to magic" can still get plinked to death by a brotherhood of crystal star's lightning hand. How do you all handle this?
Another question, do disciplines such as weaponskill and weaponmastery stack with each other? if I have weaponskill sword and weaponmastery sword and weild it in battle, will I receive +5 combat skill? or just +3?
