LWMPG Errata

Might be a good idea to sticky this for any errata to be posted.

All instances of LW (Lone Wolf) should be H (Hero) instead.

Yeah I caught that too. :)

That really should not have gone through proofing though. Hopefully mongoose will put in the corrected version for future printings as well as make it a download on this website.

Luck Tests

If you cannot decide wether a bonus should be added, or what the Difficulty of a Test should be, simply use a Luck Test, as described on page 43. Wether or not a player succeds in his mission or not can sometimes rest on a simple stroke of fate!

That's it. That's all it says about Luck Tests. Fortunately I was able to find out how to make luck tests as it's full detailed on page 7. There's details on page 43 so that's a simple typo. Amusing 'though.

So it should read as follows:

Luck Tests

If you cannot decide wether a bonus should be added, or what the Difficulty of a Test should be, simply use a Luck Test, as described on page 7. Wether or not a player succeds in his mission or not can sometimes rest on a simple stroke of fate!

There are numerous spelling errors in the adventure (namely, you keep getting told to 'loose ENDURANCE points), not to mention sentance structure.

On the topic of Endurance, for most of the book it is written in small caps, while during the adventure it is standard caps.

Hmm, at the risk of being picky - it's sentence structure ;). Things like ENDURANCE should be picked up in editing though.

As is always the way when one picks on another, the one doing the picking gets it wrong ;)

I once had an aspiring writer friend of mine say, oh I like your writing ... you tell a great story, but you have grammer problems.

Yeah, she wrote: grammer not grammar.

The combat resutls table... Everywhere else in the game a roll of 0 is zero, and bad.

On the CRT, it's the best roll you can make... D'oh!

Actualy that's always been the case in the gamebooks too. It's not a mistake. It's an unexpected irregularity.

Actualy I tend to pregfer rolling a d10 to a d10-1 (so it simply involved upping all the difficulties by 1 for random rolls and treating the ten as nothing for character creation).

It will make sense if you take the '0' from the bottom of the table (after 9) and slot it in at the top so that the run of numbers is zero to 9 as it is everywhere else. Since the table includes 'LW' where it should say 'H' I'm happy to make that change for my games. It just makes no sense for 'zero' to equal '10' on the CRT and '0' everywhere else.

There's no point in rolling d10-1 just get a d10 numbered 0 to 9, all of mine are numbered that way.

I've done a revised version of the Combat Results Table, replacing "Lone Wolf/LW" with "Hero/H" in every case if anyone can host it for folks to download. PM me if you can.

Colin

Xex, if you want the revised table and revised character sheet (with space for character portrait, character details, and more space for disciplines), drop me a PM and I'll sort you out. :)
