Looking for Cargo Ship & Containers

One of my modelling chums made a railway container terminal model a few years back. He found some timber of the right cross section, bought long lengths of it and just chopped it into scale 20' and 40' lengths, then sprayed them different colours, adding text to the side of some and then weathered them. He made over a hundred in a day or so. Might be worth thinking about.

damn beet me to it

yup blocks of wood or balsa, then block of one end with card and the other end with 2 bits of card (doors) and job done, if you wish to add grooves or damage to the conataers you can add details with a pen as it indents into the wood, and for damage just use a knife and then paint it as rusty bullet holes or the likes.
