Lone Wolf LE Statuettes

Hi guys,

Been looking at a new Lone Wolf project recently - 400mm, highly detailed, painted statuettes of various characters from the Lone Wolf series. They would be an extremely limited run (likely around 200-250), and would be sculpted, cast and painted in Britain (no Chinese reproductions here!).

Potentially, we are looking at a mini-series of Lone Wolf, his allies and his villains, totalling perhaps ten models over the course of next year.

However, to do all of this, we need to charge something in the region of £3-400 per model.

So, the golden question is; would anyone here be interested in such a thing?

US$600-800 is a lot for a statue.

How about a hardcover, expanded version of the Magnamund Companion instead?

400mm is massive! And prohibitously expensive. If they were cheaper and smaller I'd be interested, but a price in the hundreds for a statue can't be justified to the wife...

In that case, there is another project in the wings that I think will be right up your alley :)

That's too expensive for my £500 a month budget too. If I could afford them then yes, I'd probably go for it.

I'd like to see some new Lone Wolf miniatures from Mongoose as there really aren't many yet and some of the ones that there are could be better (yes, I'm thinking of the knight of Sommerlund's awkward and unnatural wrist position among other things).

I also have to say it would be too expensive.

However, here in the US, Hasbro released a set of Star Wars statues that they called Star Wars Unleashed. They are VERY cool looking and much much cheaper than what you were describing. From what I saw, they ranged from about $20 - $50. That would be more in my price range.

I think that it's a bit too expensive. However, I would like to see new miniatures. In fact, I love the original one from Citadel, could you re-do something like this ?

I would be interested but I can't afford those prices. For that price I'd be expecting the legendary fabled sommerswerd replica (I'd pay half as much again for that).

I would be more interested in 25mm, not 400mm.
Yes, very expensive for something that does not do housekeeping nor pay the bills. :D

I have a reasonable income but don't think I could justify that kind of money. I would love to see more 25mm figures though I have all of the existing ones and would love to be able to get hold of some more. Rules would be fantastic as well, I would especialy like to be able to refight the fall of the monastery.

Other figures I would like to see are more Gunners of Bor. Something that fits in properly with Maganmund.

I could be tempted to pay £300 notes for a good quality, realistic, uncheesy Sommerswerd though.

Hmm, that's something I would also consider :)

same here, although i would even buy the expensive statuettes

but i would prefer cheaper ones around 100-300

I'd even be willing to pay £4-600 for that (but I'd really be scraping the barrel to afford that one so £300 would be better).

I really think that these are something that would sell. I would want to see some previews first and it would have to look like something you could use so for me at least the ornamentation would have to be tastefully done, subtle, but if correct I may even spend a bit more.

What would others be looking for something very ornamented or practical?

WW

I'm a firm believer in "form follows function." So, I would want something that would appear usable in battle, not something overly ornate.
