hey guys, i am planning on collecting BFEvo, yet i cant decide what army (of the huge amount available... look, im not good with decisions...) to 'do'

i usually go with either a small force of very, very elite warriors with lots of support, but i am thinking of the PLA as i love the whole 'tidal wave of humanity thing'...

so... any help would be greatly appriciated.

Pull the names out of a hat? :lol:

Draw a circle on the ground, write the names of the armies on bits of card and throw them into the air, buy the armies whose names land inside the circle. If none do land inside this circle, then I guess BF;evo just isn't your game! :lol:

Alternatively, get a friend interested and get them to pick an army, you pick an opposing army.
 
Well, to give you a bit of insider information, if you want the human wave, pick the MEA. Soon enough there will be everything from Fedayeen assault troops with explosives to Rioting Mobs and Revered Leaders.

If you want the hi-tech elite approach, either the USMC or the EFTF are good bets.

The PLA are the middle ground. I like them and think they have agood balance of equipment, plus it actually looks pretty cool these days.
 
Lol. Take my approach. I wasn't sure either which i wanted to do. So i saved up for a while and preordered everyhing but the PLA which I eventually plan to do. I think for many people it will be when they do an army not if. lol. JUst pick the one with a unit u you like the best and move to another at a later stage.
 
I decided to get USMC and PLA; seems like they are fairly balanced to start with and that is key for me since I want to be able to hit the stores and do some demos. I had considered USMC and the EFTF but it just seemed like it would be a whole lot of fuss over spilt tea. :P :lol:
 
Think I'll probably go USMC. I like Abrahms. And if they add aircraft like JSF's etc in later I think I might just die of joy :P (And do a Comanche too! I know it's cancelled but I don't care, its still the sexiest looking helicopter in the history of the known universe. It's even better than Airwolf :P (ps for the record that is a JOKE I dont need the 12 hour uber nerd lecture about how stupid Airwolf is... :P))
 
I'm going EFTF... for two reasons. I think the USMC sunglasses look silly, and the EFTF has a transport chopper coming out sooner. I plan on getting 1 infantry squad, 1 command section, 2 future lynx, and two SAS sections. I may get a tank if my opponent's armor gives me problems.

Airwolf or Blue Thunder? Which was cooler? :wink:

My first choice is EFTF British troops and Challengers backed up by REP and German troops!
But I love the look of the Technicals and Fedayeen so will likely get them too

Still, I'm going for MEA cuz I kinda like this just-a-gun-and-guts idea (the one about sticking up against attackers no matter the odds).

Also ETEF, so I can convert my own swedish forces!
 
I went with EFTF because I figured everyone around me would have USMC and I wanted to be different. Also, the Challenger is painted in a camo pattern, which is very cool. I also went with the MEA as a second army and am glad I did because I am lovin' the fedayeen paint jobs. I cannot wait for this game. :D
 
My buddy is a Muslim from Saudi Arabia so it was a no-brainer for him, MEA all the way. I went with USMC for reasons of good match-ups on the tabletop.
Another friend of ours has staked a claim on the EFTF, he simply likes the models. I'm thinking that if no one claims the PLA I'll start a second army with them.

lol to each their own! Personally I love the 'futuristic' look in military hardware. I also loved the XM8, and still think the P90 is the coolest weapon on earth (I use one in aisoft too :)).

Alot of people hate that sort of quasi sci-fi styling though so not to everyones tastes!

Actually just noticed someting there that Id be interested to know if anyone has any more info on. It has a defence system noted as 'anti terrorism - space reservation'.

What the smeg is that supposed to be? Does it mean a unit of navy SEALs or a sonic defence system or something insane like that?
