Licensing question

Nerroth

Mongoose
Hi.

Sorry if this has been asked before, but does Mongoose's license for things Judge Dredd extend as far as the designs from the movie?

I recall that, in the days of the Starship Troopers licence, there were three types of influnces shown in mini form; the Marauders (which echoed the original novel), the more heavily armoured soldiers (based on the TV show) and the light infantry (drawn from the movie).

Would a similar dynamic be at play here, or must Mongoose only draw from the designs seen in the comics?

(That said, I wouldn't be so sure there would be too many people that would care about the movie style either way, but I kind of liked some of the alternate designs they came up with for the film.)

I quite liked Dredd's pistol, but it was very contemporary-made-to-look-sci-fi not retro-British-sci-fi-from-the-seventies. :)

And a few of the designs crept into the comics from the movie, anyway.

Minis of Judges in the new move uniform and the old movie uniform would be ace - then stats for Street Judges (Comic Version) / Street Judges (Stallone Movie Version (who could specialise in hiding behind Lawmasters till Dredd shows up)) and Street Judges (New Movie version) so we could pit them against each other would be lots of fun ;D
