Li Halan destroyers question

Just got my Li Halan fleet box and I was looking through it and there is a small bit attached to the back of the one engine that I am thinking must be a mounting point for the stand, but how and where do I put the thing??? Also, do I trim it down to just the circle or use that extra on the one end?

Otherwise, the models look great! The Li Halan ships look cool, I like the split-hull "catamaran" design.

The extra on the end attaches to the bottom of the hull, so that the circle sticks out between the engines.
