Legend Distribution/Availability

I just got mine today!!! It looks great so far and the size is perfect. I think this will be the perfect reference to have at the game table for my next Elric game.

Can't wait to get the PDF version.

Ok...so spill the beans! :D

We know that the chapter on Spirit Magic has been removed and we have a conversion guide that tells us many of the other changes that have been made, but are there any major surprises that we should be aware of?

How good is the editing? Does it look like Mongoose went over the text carefully for errors? Has the internal artwork been changed?

Is there any information about licensing for third-party in the back of the book?

Dammit...I can't wait for the PDF version either!

I assume Legend is coming out because your Runequest license is expiring?
I don't work at Mongoose, but the answer is basically, "yes." And Mongoose has said that the line hasn't sold as well as they hoped, but reading between the lines it is selling and has a strategic place in their product lineup. So they are trying some things: Different format and price point, different licensing terms, probably other stuff that hasn't been revealed.

Overall, probably a smart move to keep Legends of RuneQuest in their portfolio.

All this discussion is very entertaining, but, when is the product going to hit the shops and will the pre-ordered copies be sent out first to arrive on the release date? The release schedule states that it will be released in October and we are now in the second week of November.

I am really hoping this is the week we get the book at our local stores, as well as see the pdf appear at rpgnow and drivethrurpg.
