While everyone's been raving about 760 Patrons and, indeed, I see it as likely being generally useful ... I have some reservations.
For example ...
Page #26: [22-23A] Lance Corporal
Who is described as a "middle ranked officer" who has "crawled over the demotions of his fellows on his rise to the top" ...
Which, to put it mildly, shows a regrettable lack of anything resembling even the most basic of knowledge of military ranks.
Unless, of course, in the Imperial Military, Lance Corporals are rather different to what they are in those world militaries that still have them ... the lowest of the low, one step above Private, and a *non-commissioned* officer which makes them no officer at all.
Certainly not "middle ranked" and how they could crawl over the demotions of others in their rise to the absolute bottom of the heap! Well, it beggars belief
Then, for the first mission profile:
"... arranging for a high profile mission for whom he needs patsies ..."
Sorry. Nope.
See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lance_Corporal for current usages
Lance Corporals might be able to arrange for a corkscrew for a Bottle Party in a Brewery as they are not Leftenants, but I doubt that that qualifies as a "high profile mission".
YMMV, of course ... Breweries are important Military Objectives ... why, when I was in the Signals Platoon for the Sydney University Regiment (Citizen Military Forces, in those days, not Army Reserve), we had our very own special, secret, code for such things ... so as to not worry the poor Leftenants and other Officers with too much to think about
However, our Lance Corporals certainly didn't arrange anything much at all ... except Latrine duty, perhaps
A minor thing, and easily ignored ... he'll be a Sub-Leftenant (or the like) any time he's rolled in my game, but moderately annoying nonetheless.
