Kull (OGL) RPG

From the ashes of the Conan RPG, I would love to see a Kull RPG arise.

You probably could keep some of the material and key mechanics, despite being the Same World (but a few thousand years earlier) you would simply need to work out new Racial Templates and maybe new classes.

I'm sure, I'm not the only one who would love to see this.

Thank you

After having read a few Kull stories, I think it would probably keep the same class since they seems to work on the Thurian Age (just need to update the Noble for the new race)

Aside from that we would need a Racial Template for:
The Atlantean
The Pict (a modified version of the actual one should work)
The Lemurian (Taking the one (and maybe modifing it) from Ruins of Hyboria would work)
The people of Mu
The people of Kaa-u
The people of 7 kingdoms could be put together under the same template with sub-template for the various kingdoms.
The people of Thule

I guess that would cover it as a core book.

Edit:
1) Once I finished reading the Kull stories, I'll know whether the Acheron are there or not...thus adding another racial template.
2) Snake-man could make for a fun template too for NPCs or a pure Snake-men infiltration campaign.

Edit 2:
The elder Race;
The non-Thurian form the mysterious Eastern Continent and;
The primitive prehuman refered to in the Hyborian Age.

Either as PC or NPC template.

There is no Acheronian empire at that time but Picts already exist. In fact there are very few information about the empire of that Age.

Do you read the "pure" Howard stories or also those completed by Lin Carter (who develops further the great villain Thulsa Doom as a necromancer/Lich)

I have both version. The 'pure' and sometime incomplete Howard's story and those completed by Lin Carter. So far I,ve only read 2 stories.

With both verison, it should give a base for the RPG racial template and class.

I could go for Kull. Should be easy to DIY, given either Conan rpg or RQ, depending on taste, but I guess that's not really the point. If I saw a Kull rpg, I'd have to buy it.

Or, hey, how about a three settings in one book? Kull, Bran Mac Morn and Cormac Mac Art? Call it Kull and the Barbarians, that would be cool. 8)

Odds are very good that I'll do a DIY Kull...mostly working on the Racial template and modifying the classes (and maybe introduce new ones) for Conan 2nd edition.

And I like your idea of combining Kull and the 2 others for a kind of Pre- and post Hyboria Era, Bran Mak Morn and Cormac would probably demand a bit more work since it's more of an 'Historical' Roman Era with some S&S and Cthulhu element.

But for now I would be happy enough with a straight Kull book.

I would like to see a tie-in for Kull in new Conan game. A combined gazetteer and adventure/campaign in the Thurian Age. Kull's world was not that much described. But there is also some creative freedom in that and not try to aim for purism since the material is quite sparse (use stuff from Lin Carter and the comics and such). Make the atmosphere more dreamy lovecraftian/weird/alien as well as high adventure heroic as Kull's storys is.

This is probably what I will be doing with my DIY Kull supplement.

I've read the books (both the Pure howard and the Howard/Carter version) and some of the marvel comic ( And I might go with the Dark Horse Chronicle ofd Kull to complete it) and I was amaze to see in Howard version that bthe Atlantean were essentially stone age barbarian but by the time of Kull the Conqueror they have rapidly advance on the technological field...in, maybe what, 20-30 years or so.
