Probably under the Mongoose rules, the break between adventurer-class and capital ship should fall at the two-kiloton level.

Going by T5, the intended transition would be around two thousand five hundred tons.

Extrapolating from HG, the moment you have a ton over two thousand, the numbers given being the maximum tonnage for that category, at which point I assume structural needs require a sectionalizing of the hull.
