Judge Dredd Cyclops Laser Cannon

The rules for the laser cannon say it can fire one "burst" every 60 seconds...

Does this mean it can fire a burst as per burst fire, or a burst of fully automatic fire?

Its a single blast; not an autofire burst. Then it requires 60 secs to recharge.
makes sense, but, that will be another thing for the errata then Loz, the book says it has a Rapid Fire of Auto 4

Similiar Question about the bike cannon, is the damage listed for the both barrels combined or do they both individually do 3d6+8? I assume it is combined?

I really do need to get this stuff into Fordy .....heh. Let me check my last games notes and I'll toss up what we've been doing in various demo's to make it function more like the comic. Back with a follow up once I find that notebook.

The Cyclops cannon is fine as-is. It fires a single blast but can be used to target multiple enemies in its single shot - hence the full auto rating.

Yeah been explaining it pretty close to that way as well on the table top. have Cyclops Cannon, will travel so they say.

So essentially I roll 4d6 to hit, and pair the dice as per auto fire rules? does this limit the drive (lawmaster) skill to 1?

Not a bad question. Technically speaking, Yes, it would. However you could add a lot of other factors in there to boost the DM back up. Assist from the Computer, all that sort of thing.

Or, you fiat it into since the Cannon has such a long recharge time in comparison to other weapons, that it balances out and you don't reduce.

I run with the former myself because you always want to have a controllable power curve for game effect.

true but the computer only has a fire-control of zero for autonomous operation, and the weapon is already hugely powerful doing up to 36 points and an average 23-24 points, put a dent in a green lady ...

Could get lucky with that roll though. One never knows. The Cyclops cannon IS powerful though to be honest, my players tend to be more along the lines of Chase them on the Lawmaster, dive off and tackle them, remove all sensibilities with repetitive use of the Day Stick.

Nah they just made the mistake one session, of, hmmm.......whats that word the SJS guy used while hanging out with the accounting division....Oh yes. Excessive and unnecessary collateral damage coupled with verifiable brutality in excess of that needed to dispense justice with minimal use of ammo .

Couldn't find rules for twin-linked weapons in my Traveller book.
Is it one roll and two lots of weapon damage if a hit is rolled ?
