I should clarify:
Save the universe, epic? No.
Save the Imperium, epic? No.
Save a lot of lives, epic? Yes.
Rescue prisoners being sold as slaves, epic? Yes!
Set up a new home for those persecuted, epic? Absolutely!
Deliver information vital to the Imperium, epic? You bet!
Destroy a planet-killing super weapon, epic? Why not!
End a war, epic?

Will, you be doing all of these in the first adventure path? No. Will you be doing at least one of these if not more in this adventure path? Most definitely.
