And use the fighters to kill theirs?

Whitestar Fighters, Shials, Nials, Klikkita, Tzymm are in the Fleet so i could attack enemy fighters with most of mine.
Commador Q said:I think your fleet is too fighter heavy for the oponents you listed. it'd still be winnable, but you've invested a large portion of your force in units that will be hard to keep alive.
i'd swap out the blue stars for 2 Skrunnkas. this'll give you less of a fighter dependent fleet (blue stars aren't technically fighters, but they have many of the same liabilitys) and you'll have 2 more hulls that don't rely on dodge for their survivability of coarse you wouln't be able to JPB with them, but that's usually frowned uppon anyway.
alternatively you could swap the white star carrier for 4 white stars or WS 2s (depends if you'd rather have more nails or more scouts as each have their benefits in this fleet). that way you'd have more hulls on the table for initiative reasons, and you'd still probably have fighter superiority.
Taran said:As I recall, playing as an ISA fleet allows you to bring any number of League allies and not neccessarily even need to field a single ISA-only vessel...
But anyway, I wouldn't use my fighters to dogfight. That's what you're bringing the Stuteeka for, Grimbart. Use the E-mines for anti-fighter.
Stick your weakest fighters to your WSs and Gunships and WS Carrier as interceptors and use the rest for assaulting the enemy ships.
Just keep your WSs and Gunships and Carrier away from any EA or Narn vessels.
I specifically say EA and Narn because, of the races you said you're likely to face, they're the only ones with really enough secondary weapons to cause you problems. And you have those nifty TD beams against which They have no defence, whatsoever. Make the most of them.
Blue Stars, I find, are very good at taking out patrol and skirmish level hulls fast. Especially squadronned in 4s. They're also good, squadronned for 4 on 1s to take out a lot of raid level hulls in 1 round if you have the init.

Sounds all pretty good, maybe i will exchange the two Xeel against another Stuteeka at some point or maybe ... ahh so many options ^^ but i go for fighters at first.
Grimbart_Kriegsaxt said:So here is a fleet (5 point War) i would like to use:
Whitestar Carrier
Tara 'Lin
2 Whitestar Gunships
2 Whitestar I
2 Whitestar II
1 Stuteeka War Carrier
2 Xeel War Carrier
8 Blue Star
Is that ok to play against EA and Vorlons and Narn? Those races will be my enemies in our gaming club.
Burger said:Also ISA allies must all come from one race, and "combined League" doesn't count as one. It does appear that technically you must have one full FAP of allies or none at all, though it would be a bit harsh to enforce that as written!
Of course you can take no allies if you like, or 1 full FAP. What I mean is it is quite harsh to disallow taking half a FAP (eg 1 Warbird and 2 Blue Stars for 1 Raid FAP), although that is technically disallowed by the rules as written.Lord David the Denied said:Burger said:Also ISA allies must all come from one race, and "combined League" doesn't count as one. A bit harsh? It'd be totally ridiculous to force ISA players to water their fleet down with allies if they want to play pure ISA.
