ISA, and its allies.

This is a great thread.... I'm going to be in a similar boat this Friday.

My force is going to be the Victory, WS Carrier, 6 White Star IIs, Liandra, Nolo'Tar, 4 Blue Stars, 2 Brokados, and 2 Haliks (Bringing 8 WS Fighters, 6 Nials, 1 Flyer, 3 Starfuries, 3 Thuds, and 12 Pikitos to the table). My opponent is taking a Brakiri (Avioki, Kaliva, Kabroktos, Brokados, not sure what else)/Drazi (2 Firehawks)/Gaim (2 of the Queen ships)/not sure what other League ships) in Call to Arms. I just have to figure out how much fire power to keep in hyperspace or send scooting around the table in a flanking run so I can blow those Gaim ships. They're going to be murder on my fighters and I want to get my little one hit death dealers out and causing havoc as soon as possible. :)

@thatcash. Have you considered dropping the Brakiri elements for an EA Fleet Carrier (Avenger or Poseidon) loaded with Thunderbolts or a Morshin, as this will allow Repair and Replenish to the other fighters in the fleet, not just the White Star Fighters?

Be very careful about getting up close. You can discourage e-mines, but Gaim have good stocks of boarding pods and troops. White stars are not exactly packed with marines.

I thought about it (I initially had 3 Avengers + another Earth ship), but I've been able to R&R 3 whopping flights in my ACtA career (I like to go fighter heavy, so that's a lot of failed rolls) and everytime I do, the carrier goes up in a fireball shortly after. I swear, the enemy gunners must follow the flights back to the ship. :)

It's a little late now anyways...we've revealed our fleets to each other.

Not really knowing what I am talking about, but going by comments I have read on this board and the apparent close correlation with the series...

Might I suggest dropping something with Scout on the table ASAP and using it to open incoming Jump Points in the midst of the enemy fleet?

Im still thinking A Pak'ma'ra Hurr Gunship for added firepower
How about downgrading to a pair of Haliks or Urik'Hals? Feed the Gaim player some e-mines right back. Can a single Pak ship use the Plama Web rule, or does it require 2+ ships?
