Is there a 2D deckplan for Deepnight Endeavour?

My group are approaching the end of Great Rift Adventure 1: Islands in the Rift, so if everything goes as planned we will soon start Great Rift Adventure 2: Deepnight Endeavour which I’m really looking forward to.

Anyhow, as always, Mongoose otherwise excellent products show the deckplans in isometric views which I find hard to use in actual gameplay. Is there a 2D version available for download?

Old School, are you thinking about Deepnight Revelation? The Deepnight Endeavour is a custom-designed battleship-sized exploration ship featured in the Great Rift adventure with the same name.

That said, I don’t believe there are any official 2D plans for it. If you happen to own the Element cruiser box you can probably borrow bits and pieces from those plans and I assume there will be detailed blueprints for Revelation too (?). Sure, it’s a different class of ship, but it should work for various areas even if you can’t just place them after each other to get the whole ship - unless of course you choose to simply use the Element plans in full, I mean it’s not like the ship’s going anywhere, you just need a dungeon map

There’s also the amazing Starship Geomorphs book (available here) that’s filled with partial deckplans you can pick from for various areas around the ship!

You’re right, of course, I was thinking about Revelation. Element cruisers could be used for most it, but not the custom made pods. Geomorphs works well if you’re trying to piece together a section of a ship for a gun battle. It doesn’t have to be perfect, just plausible.

If Mongoose has done away with providing 2D deckplans, that would be very disappointing. One of the most common refrains I see in the traveller verse is that the 3D plans look cool, but the 2D plans are what gets used at the game table.
