Is the G'Vrahn a G'Quan model?

I presume the model is not available yet?

Operates at the same level as the Bintak but more of a battle cruiser than a dreadnought I guess?

Actually i dont know what to classify it.

Speed and maneuverabilty (AJP) suggets a hunter profile.

Weaponry and espially weapon ranges suggest a battleship type slugger.

Basically it can bring all weapony to bear immediately, yet it wouldnt have to be that fast for it anyway, cause theyre longranged anyway. And they suck at the Shipbreaker/shortcharge combo i have grown to love.

And I dont know about buying the MGP model for it. 40 bucks versus just heavily modding on of the 4 already supplied in the fleet box. If i ever get around to field one due to the rules.

What you just described can be best classified in Naval terms as a Battlecruiser (just coz i know you love those naval terms  )

So its a BC......

Still it is like a Minbari ship. Speed to be where you want it. And range to fire at whatever you want.

Im just used too much to only having slow bricks. And kinda proud of it. So the concept seems very high tech logical, but from a game view its not too great. (Why AJP when you can fire everything first turn anyway....)

Well i did build a Lego ship once

Nothing fancy, just the biggest brick possible. Gotta have armor on that thing. weaponry wasnt really something you could represent with Lego, but armor did work :D

Though it does look like the G'Quan's cool older brother.

Hmm, Cool is not a word I would use to describe it. Sometihg like a basic kiddie version of a big G'Quan I thought.

Since it's a ship emphasizing speed, perhaps it's meant to pair up with Var'Nics rather than G'Quans? Toss in some skirmish stuff for flavor.

I liked the G'Vrahn model. I thought it kept with the style of the TV series Narn ships principaly the G'Quan. The G'Quan, T'Loth and Frazi being the only cannon Narn ships from the series the rest of the Narn ships are all over the place from a design point of view and invented by the AoG people who had the licence in the first place. No consideration was given to the look or overall style of the fleet the only thing that holds the Narn ships together as a fleet is a colour scheme of red, black and white camouflage. I think Mongoose have to be praised for bringing the new Narn ships back in line with the original design concept and look of the Narn with the G'Vrahn and Ka Bin' tak styled on the G'Quan. I will happily purchase these ships for my fleet when they get released. I hope I don't have to wait to long for them.

Weren't there some other, smaller Narn capital ships at Quadrant 37? (They looked rather like the wing sections of the T'loth) or were those just the wing sections of a T'loth?

I inquire because they were painted in the distinctive red/black, and not the mute blue we see the T'loth in, on the one occasion that we do see them.

I don't actually think they appeared in the show, but sertainly AOG did a couple of ships that were the T'Loth wings. Matt has said mongoose will release them for about 12 months or so now, they even have pictures of them in THAT book!
conversely Morgoth did some stats for them in our PDF document.

Martin, I'm surprised that you don't thnk the Narn ships have coherance for want ofa better word, nearly all of them have a central hull section with the outer sides as either wing sections, or pointy bits. Personally, i thik all Narn ships are pretty instanly recogniseable for what they are, apart from the Rongoth. I suppose it's down to what you look for, I can see what they intended with the G'Vrahn, I just think they failed. but the KaBinTak is a bloody nice model.

No. The only Narn ships that were shown in B5 were the G'Quan, T'Loth and Frazi fighter. Nothing else.

I know what you are talking about (the T'Vrahn or something to that effect) and I have seen many pictures with the in it... but no, they were never in the show.

Wierd - perhaps it was just the station in Quadrant 37. I always thought it was 3 ships docked around a central hub.
