Quite true, you might not want to cap off your Dodge bonus for high DEX types, as well as incur the additional penalties to a number of frequently used skills like Hide and Move Silently...the 1 point of DR is often not worth it, much less, if you go from 4DR to 5DR, it will still get halved a lot due to AP, and is still only giving you 2DR (steel cap can fix this of course).
