Intresting Observation about ACTA Players

Sorry for hijacking will PM after this.

True, Chosen etc get the "Sorcerer" ability for the 10 points they pay for the Mark of Tzeentch BUT this does not give them psychic powers for free. they still have to pay the points for the power. So not free.

total cost for a Thousand Son termie (i.e. rubric) is 42 pts. Standard cost for termie (i.e. marine) is 40 pts. How is that cheeper?

True, but a nice trade off. He tends to use Inferno bolts with his termies. Half his termies are chosen, half aren't. The ones that are use Bolt of Change, the others, Inferno Bolts.

Is he mixing rubric and chosen in the same squad? Which is totally illegal.

Rubrics can't take Inferno bolts. If you look at the options they do not get access to the armoury. Only the aspiring champion of the squad can.

I was going to say exactly that

only champions (who are all sorcerors) can get inferno bolts. And they are pointless when the psychic powers are better

Another reason is the smaller group of players. ACTA does not have nearly the players that 40k has. Less players = less min/maxers.

Well, this is true.

But I've noticed that the local players like the excitement of the game over min-maxing.
