Interesting info re: prepaints

though we were also told at the same time that the scheduled models would be released. Alex said we'd see a Skinnie Venerable Marauder before the end of 2006

With regards to Rackham -
It's nice of you to repeat what I knew already, in case somebody else has missed it. It's also nice to note you have some information at least to back your opinion on.

However...
If you believe this is a good example of a healthy company that makes good business decisions - that really is INCREDIBLY dumb
...your apparent claims to know they are doomed to extinction are... shall we say specious? Unless you really do know something the general public doesn't, obviously. I suspect not, but you can prove me wrong of course.

And on to my original point about Fire Industries, even if Rakcham does go down, I don't think putting up a small British company set on making resin models (that has yet to produce much anything besides promises) counts as an economic backup plan of any sort. Oh, but then again you didn't infer it was, Fire Industries is just there to "save face". And besides, Rackham executives are dumbest in the industry so making such turns is right up their alley.

---

As a more to the subject at hand kind of comment, I also seem to recall a promise to keep the current line up for as long as there's reasonable demand, or some such. Maybe it was more like "indefinitely" tho.

I never thought I would EVER think this of anyone, but tnjrp you are REALLY coming over as a Rackham fanboy.

I never said Rackham were doomed, just they were (and are) in trouble.

You are trying to see the light at the end of the tunnel for them, and its too far away for them at the moment.

They turned their back on what they do REALLY well, for a product which is average at best - and they are paying the price for it.

I just really REALLY don't want SST Evo to be as much of a problem for Mongoose.

wow, calling somebody a fanboy because they don't think a company is doomed? What has this forum come to?

You REALLY haven't checked many of the threads on here, have you Lol!

He's to eager to defend, and to unwilling to ignore whats going on.

Playing the fanboy card already, are we? Then again, you already insinuated I'm not aware of the facts and that I'm incredibly stupid, and have also added denial to the list since.

With your habit of stringing statements like that one after the other, it isn't odd that I can't determine what you are passing off as facts, (informed) opinions or complete conjecture. I grant that keeping the opposition off balance is the classic debating tactic, but it only works so far.

To summarize my point for you in as short sentences as I can manage...

I have been objecting to you saying they've set up Fire Industries as a financial backup plan of some sort. It has since turned out you didn't, so I was wrong about that (this might count as a show my of "incredible" stupidity, of course). I did not at any point state Rackham is not in trouble. I did not comment on their business practices per se at all.

Hey come down boys.
I can't see any fanboys here.
If you want fanboys go to warseer, there you can see how they look like (though even Warseer gets more and more users raging against GW).

whats warseer?

Ah I see now- Nevermind.

Notably; I think several people here count as Fan-Boys. I'm of the camp that you can be a Fan Boy and open minded. Its when you refuse to play other games in a derogatory manner that you become a complete ass.

Don't care, I hardly visit the board (to many idiots).

I check it out for pictures and other peoples painting, but its getting so as it take a really REALLY long time to trawl through it all to find something of interest.
