Imperial History Question

How much of the canon Imperial history are Mongoose going to be using with their supplements?

To be specific, I'm asking about the period from around 580 through to 666 Imperial, roughly the life of Empress Arbellatra.

Two questions:

(1) What is known in canon about her, beyond the historical dates?

(2) Will Mongoose be publishing any kind of historical supplement taking place in and around those dates?

From one that has done some recent historical research on a different Traveller time period, I think the best place to start looking is DonM's timeline. It is huge, but you could just grab the portion of the timeline covering those dates. Each entry has a source listed so you can look up further details if you have the books. From a glance, there are 7 pages of timeline entries for that exact period, with over 40 entries per page. Some stuff covered is happening outside the 3rd Imperium though.

(2) Will Mongoose be publishing any kind of historical supplement taking place in and around those dates?

I have no idea, but I highly, highly doubt it. Pretty obscure time period.

The Civil War period is one of the last notable periods on the Imperial timeline that has not been covered by one edition or other. Given that there may be no further editions for some time, it might be a good idea to do a one-shot in-depth book for that period, but I can't see it being a high priority with Mongoose.

The Imperial borders are going to be pretty similar to what we are most familiar with. The Civil Wars occured between two of the Frontier Wars that happened in the Marches, so the borders in the Marches will be different, but not hugely so. The area around Terra will be Imperial, if memory serves, as this predates the Solomani Sphere.

Aside from court intrigues and all the undocumented goings on that accompany them, the biggest differences will be things like the maximum Imperial TL (14) and similar.
