A Ship swathed in Purple and Gold and Sharp Edged Fins...OF DEATH" can someone tell me anything about the Liati?

I am far more interisted in it due to it's supposed speed and maneuverability, traits I hold far more valuable then power.

I know I can't have specifics, but can I atleast have the PL? Maybe anyone with experience can tell me if it is indeed a White Star killer?

WAR! It better be better considering it is 2 PLs higher. Screw that, I'm not getting one.

yep, the adira whitstar carrier and fighters, the boombox and the basestar are all pretty good.

The Marathon isnt too bad, The G'Vrahn is scary, the Neroon is pretty bonk, Nemesis I dont think is good enough for Armaggeddon, Ka'Bintak huge!

From what I've been told of the stats, none of the EA armageddon choices are worthy of the new level. They needed a lot more upgrading to be worth nearly two of their former incarnations.

I rate the Warlock more than the Nemesis but both ships have just under 100 boxes of damage which I think apart from the Minbari is the lowest at that level

the real damage sink is the victory with 100 damaga and adaptive armour, that thing can soak it up.

There are several ships in Armageddon that have too few crew to be worth taking (although their damage values are exactly what they should be) such as the Z'Takk, Whitestar Gunship, Neroon and Nemesis.

The Adira, the White Star Carrier and the Kiriashac Lordship are probably a bit too good (as is the Sagittarius), the Victory, G'Vrahn, Brivoki, Triumviron, Dark Knife, Nova Dreadnought, new Hyperions, new Delphi, new Omega and Fireraptor are all decent ships (or at least very close to being decent). The Liati is actually one of the few (Shadow Ship, Shadow Omega, White Star Fighter, Thoughtforce and the Traveller too) that are simply not quite good enough for their PL.

BTW, when I say the Liati is almost a good match for White Stars, I mean almost a good match for four White Stars!

Without the GEG, the Adira matches the Victory very well, they're almost identical in how quickly they can take each other out. Sadly, the Adira gets the GEG as well (increasing its defensive ability about 33%) and loses nothing to compensate.

have done match ups and the GEG really isnt what its cracked up to be, with the GEG and some lucky rolls i managed to take a victory, without it i doubt it. if it didnt have GEG would have about 5-6 interceptors anyway most probably. take away the GEG and the victory will rape it every time, the only good weapon against the vic is your beam as it ignores all the interceptors. remember the victory has interceptors, and AA. plus its quite a fast ships with lots of weapons turreted so cantreally manouvre round it either.

Pretty much agreed if they go one-on-one against each other, it's the Adira's wide fields of fire that attract me and its near immunity to small arms fire that makes it tough. Imagine you were taking four Omega Destroyers against it (or G'Quans or Wahants or most other Battle level and below ships).

I admit though that I haven't playtested the Adira yet though (I have the Victory) - it looks like it will play very similarly to an overgrown Octurion. My quick assessments above are only based upon calculations for the most part (hence the vagueness about the "OK" ships) but the ones I've pointed out as being good or poor are all at least 25% better or worse that the statistical middle ground.
