I'd buy a Vorlon Planet Killer from Mongoose!

JayRaider

Mongoose
I was wondering if Mongoose had considered making a Vorlon planet killer?
Perhaps make it a limited edition model?
I know it would have to be Huge and expensive but i would Definitely buy it!

Definitely something Matt Sprange is thinking about and you're correct, the cost and the size of the model is what's holding them back for the moment, not the inability to come up with decent rules.

It was commented during Armageddon playtesting that a major reason why there was no VPK in that book was the lack of a good mini (the AoG one being considered inadequate).

There was no answer when I asked when the Shadow Cloud mini would be appearing...

I'd still have hoped the Planet Killer would have appeared rules wise with a miniature possibly appearing later, but even if Mongoose decided not to make a model, where would be the loss in home made and Fleet Action models only?

Take it from one who has the thing - it IS inadequate. Looks like a little lost lamb among the other vorlon minis...
And while that guy may have gotten the shape and surface structure wrong, at least his thing is imposing enough to get the point of a "Planet Killer" across...

I always used a black silk scarf for the cloud, back in the AoG days. Those hexes covered by the silk were the cloud... and woe to anyone who entered one of them, as the missiles were a killer...

I also have one, and, frankly, it's fine by me. It was, as I remember, produced to the Space Station scale, not FA scale, so it's size is irrelevant. Whole PLANETS are no more than 1" in diameter, so it's bigger than a planet...

I'd buy a Vorlon Plane Killer, and I don't have any Vorlon minis.

Perhaps the new Armageddon Vree ship would form a good basis for development of a VPK.

Why not just make it plastic? There are plenty of ship models out there that are of the same size that the Planet Killer would need to be, so I say just do it as a plastic model kit in scale with ACTA.

My 2 cents.

Well going from Armageddon ship sizes and costs.

Itd be huge, potentially unplayable on certain tables and cost like a 100 bucks.

/sarcasm off

No seriously id love a model, but MGP should stop on making huge undetailed models and go with smaller better detailed ones, that are actually reasonably priced.

Voronesh, should we take it that your default setting is sarcasm on?

And as to the VPK if they do that then they should do a Vorlon Dreadnought & a Shadow Dreadnought

The Vorlons & shadows HAVE bigger ships? (other then the planet killer and cloud) What do they look like? Would they be on that ship comparison webpage?

Now that the VHC & Shadow Ship are Armageddon, if MGP made those wouldn't they have to make another force scale for them, say Oblivion or Your Momma! :D

Thats what I meant, canon.

Are there any pics of those? (I don't think AOG is around anymore, is it?)Probably in a different scale, but it would still be cool to see what they looked like.

Thanks Tank!

Well since most of the Mongoose miniatures are actually AoG ones they wouldn't be in a different scale, but since they never produced models for them anyway...

Heres a picture of the Vorlon Dread

The Shadow one was based on the idea of there being various sizes of the Shadow ship.
