I am no longer with Mongoose

No question you'll see me about at wargaming shows, dude. Hell, now I won't be 'on duty' I can sure drink a lot more at them.

This is sad news indeed. For me, you were certainly the face of Mongoose. Hopefully I'll see you at Games Expo then, as you'll be in my neck of the woods.

I'm hopiong to hear from ted Chang this weekend, I don't know if he's heard the news yet. Though he does have surprising sources of intel.

I'm really sad to hear this, mate. You were the first Mongoose person I ever "met" online (way back on RGMW), so it was through you that I first became aware of (and involved in) the company.

Everything that has happened to me since, from the playtesting projects I've been lucky enough to participate in, through Extinction Protocol, right up to landing the gig writing Starship Troopers for Markosia - all of these things can be traced directly back to having met you around 2004.

Good luck, mate.

Cheers,

Cy.

Thanks Cy. Comments like this mean a lot to me, because being a good representative of the company was always important to me, and it's why I will always have nothing but good wishes for the company, and with the support of the best customer base in the gaming world I'm sure things will be just fine in the future.

I have never seen you not happy at the opendays and the Earth Centari War, you always have a smile on your face, been an honour to meet and hand you articals, hope you got to read the last one.

you will be missed

Blimey, I take a break from the boards and everything's gone hatstand.

In all my dealings with you in the early S&P days you were always quick to respond to any question I had with helpful comments where appropriate, and for an external writer such things are a godsend.

All the best for the future, Old Bear.

LOL! I'm showing all these to my wife. This'll show here I didn't just spend all day every day gaming!

I should put a link to all this on my CV...

Sad news OB! I wish you the best and thanks for all your help and professionalism when I would send you a PM. Take care and the best of luck to you and yours.

Game on, Old Bear!

Might be better she think that than find out the truth...

Oops, you said not to mention that....

so long and thanks for the fish..

hope to see you some time next year though

To echo the sentiments of so many, good luck for the future and thanks for all your hard work.

On a personal note, as editor of S&P back in the day (issue 13), you accepted and published my first piece of writing. I've written quite a few things for the magazine since then and have gone to on to try my hand at other endeavours. I’ve now got to the point where I’ve quit my teaching job to finish off my first novel. So, thanks again for the opportunities.
:D

I'm just going to post here again just to show that I haven't just posted once to show my respects and then forgotten.

POST

And, furthermore, on a more relevent note -

Ian, you couldn't have been a more welcoming and tolerant person in Summer '06, you really helped with settling in, so thanks for that.
