How many miniatures do I need for Paranoia?

I'm brand new to Paranoia. Just wondering how many miniatures are usually needed. My guys like them miniatures when we play. ;)

I see they've got a box of Troubleshooters, which should be enough for my players.

But how many boxes of Bots should I get? Or Security boxes, for that matter?

Are there more I probably need? Any advice I could get would be GREATLY appreciated. Thank you!!

I would say one of each box set would be sufficient to get you started. If you need more, have a look at the Gangs of Mega-City One range - there can be a lot of crossover between the two settings :)

Thanks, amigo.

Really looking forward to playing this one. Been years since I've tried a new RPG, so you can say good ol' Paranoia is the pick of the litter for me.

I'll grab these boxes post haste. Thanks!!

We should mention for the record that the PARANOIA rules don't technically require miniatures. Indeed, as the game intentionally omits all movement rules, it would be a trick to make miniatures work in the system as written. On the other hand, miniature figures are useful for illustrating the fates Troubleshooters commonly meet in service to The Computer. You can bend them, shatter them, melt them, staple them....

I use minis in Paranoia when I think the visual representation would help the players. one box of each should do nicely. Just remember that their "movement" each round is what you the GM says it is.

"We should mention for the record that the PARANOIA rules don't technically require miniatures."

You should also mention for the record that Friend Computer demands that you buy them. Buying makes you happy, and happiness is Manditory.

I want a set just to protect my computer desk, myself.
