There needs to be a "more than 10", but I voted 10. My order should be in this afternoon *Woohoo!* so I will be in a painting coma for a month or so.

They only let you put in ten poll optionss. :(

I had it all they way up to 17 box sets, with the quotes being from the end of trainspotting:

11 box sets: "I tell you when I've had enough!"
12 box sets: "So why did I do it? I could offer a million answers - all false."
13 box sets: "The truth is that I'm a bad person."
14 box sets: "But, that's gonna change - I'm going to change."
15 box sets: "This is the last of that sort of thing.
16 box sets: "Now I'm cleaning up and I'm moving on, going straight and choosing life."
17 box sets: "I'm looking forward to it already. I'm gonna be just like you."

But consider the option of 10 as 10+ box sets...

Chris, you need to make me up a quote. I have 18...
But then, I have a store :? . But then again, I don't have to sell any

There's a sentence missing that's from the script, where he talks about the big tv, the nice house, etc.

But seriously, if you have 18 boxes, you're better off renting Trainspotting. You might see a bit of yourself in the movie...

Mr Evil, sorry to hear that (really). Cheer up, it shouldn't be too long now. I'm sure the "Rodger Young" is on the way (the "wet" version), filled up with containers of them.

Let's see...

11 Boxes = 22 squads
12 boxes = 24
13 boxes = 26...

and so on.....at a maxium size for 1 platoon, featureing:
1 Cpt.
1 Lt.
2 NCOs (Master Sgts.)
1 SICON Agent

We're looking at 15 squads worth of LAMI...

But how is this organized? Bwah-? So fifteen squads, so like seven-and-a-half-boxes? Or eight boxes and some leftover?... Doesn't sound right?.. Does it max out at 13 boxes and 26 squads? Is there a chart somewhere in the book?

...and let's see... thirteen boxes... at $25 each... equals $325...

It's do-able...

Well, let's see....you need four figures to be the command structure, then 15 or so squads of 10 men, with 6 spares....which I guess can go to the squads to bump three of them up to 12 men....

Edit: Try Eight boxes.... $200

Chris, I just have a really tiny retail store, with tabletop games. One of my dreams is to have an HD TV, but alas I have about as much chance of having that as Jessica Alba (or waking up, watching her HD TV, heh) . It was just funny that I had 18 in stock and your list ended at 17.

Hiromoon, only six spares? Remember, these are "movie troopers" going to Klendathu... Hint: "M.I. does the dying; Fleet just does the flying." Is there an "endless tide" rule for the LAMI? (heh)

I was wondering a little why they didn't get endless tide rules....bbut then again...if you don't take the fednet guys, you have 10 moritas firing wildly at the oncomming bug swarms!

20d6 firing at one target!

I bought three boxes and then bits ordered 3 of each of the sgt, missile, comm, reporter, and sniper so I have 1Lt, 2 NCO's, and 6 squads of 12.
HooRah!

Can't wait for the MI army book now!

TheBrewMan

I can just imagine 20 of these guys packing together to squeeze through a terrain feature.

And then the plasma bug fires.

They can shoot though. The sheer volume of guns is going to inspire a lot of standing and shooting instead of beating feet.

With their low target and kill numbers though, they'll be so much ground chuck if they come under any serious attack. Just like that scene in the movie where the tanker breaks out of the ground and sprays the platoon.

I'd say 5, 100 is a nice even number!

...and I won't miss the opportunity to say I'll sell you those 5 when you're ready, heh. Wait a minute, that only leaves me 13. Well, there's more where they came from...

Well my parents keep telling me that there's this thing I can get called a "job." Hopefully they are telling the truth cuz it sounds like having one of those earns you money! What an awesome idea! I'll have 5 boxes of LAMI in no time!

(BTW I have had several jobs before, I'm not a n00blet :P )

i had one of them jobs once.

they lead to unhappyness, lack of free time, and having to be nice to people you dont like. and worse of all, TAX, the good thing abour work is you get to erode your life away and instead of being you , you get to become your job title, and cometative about your job, im a ME im the best at beiong ME and nobody can take that away from ME, when you become a teacher or a roadsweeper sudenly you have to be competative at how good you are at yuor new title.

My god ive just put myself of work for the rest of my life....!!!!!

right i shall email my boss telling him he is an ugly wombat thats dances like a girl, and smells. that should do the job..

lets all get apaphetical,, and give up.........YAY

what where we talking about.....i forgot

Perhaps Mr Evil, you could apply for a job on a Star Destroyer teaching Storm Troopers to dance in their off duty periods. I think this might be more 'You' !!!

hell yeah i can strut mystuff, but you know what happens to star destroyers !!!
Yeah, fender-benders. Lots of them. You'd think they could get good drivers in those crates, sheesh.

Or even-
salesperson: "Hello, I was just calling to see if you had a rock-chipped or cracked windshield today?"

Star Destroyer driver: Yeah, I just drove into an asteroid belt and a 240-ton rock just hit me. Oh darn, there is another one. It's just not my day."

"In space, no one can hear Star Destroyer collision alarms..."

went and picked up three boxes today hehe oops..

then thursday is supposed to be my arachnid army book and box of mantis bugs. yeesh no wonder I am broke hehe

Let's not worry about teh command guys, I can always buy an extra box or two, or do a bitz order. i'm worries about the platoon of grunts.

And its one platoon per PL, right? So let's use one platoon as a starting point, up to a max of three.

Anybody got a chart of what a platoon actually looks like? AO&E?
