How do I get that lovely water effect on my Bases?

The Legend

Mongoose
This is my 1st post on the forums so first off Hi to everyone. I've kept myself up to date with the game systems from mongoose through the forums more often than not. V Useful.

Ok on to my question. I've bought a few 1/3000 ships (the ORBAT from the battle of the river plate) to test the game out and have enjoyed it very much. I will be buying the game in December when it is released. However, thanks to Aegis gorgeous figs I've decided that my 1/3000 fleet (what little there is) has to go and get replaced by 1/2400 from GHQ. The only problem I have is that I wish to get a realistic basing effect for the High Seas and my current effort is, well..... Crap.

Any Ideas? Clues? Suggestions?

With the same stuff, you can create the same effects of Aegis too (He uses the same stuff, it was he who got me using the stuff). It comes in a big 200ml jar, and should last you ages.

:D
Great stuff, Thanks a lot. I think this'll help me next time I go into Ship Building.

By the way fantastic looking HMS Hood. The Fighters are excellent too. What scale are they? I think I prefer the idea of a base of fighters rather than a single one on a flight stand, much more visually appealing to me.
