horse&musket runequest

Im sure this has been brought up before, but has anyone run or thought of running RQ in the horse&musket period (three musketeers, napoleonic wars etc) ?

I've started the conversion of the Iron Kingdoms setting to Runequest. I figure that the tech level of the Iron Kingdoms is approximately equivalent to the 18th Century, although with a few technological advances (such as rail travel).

However, my intention is to consider the damage ratings of the guns in the setting, and standardize them to the same dice used for damage modifiers for high strength. Basically, no gun will do 4D4 damage -- that model will do 2D8 instead. The motivation behind this is to 1) standardize damage, and 2) make gunshot a little more survivable by making low damage results more likely.

I've been thinking about adding Blackpowder Weapons to the Lankhmar setting for a little while now. Same setting more or less, just advanced several hundred years.

Hi chaps, I've run several successful games based on Bernard Cornwell's Sharpe. They go down a treat at conventions. I've used Chaosium's BRP system in the past, but the statistics can me easily converted across to MRQ. I'm currently in the process of setting up a website for my Sharpe game, and it will cover the basics for Napoleonic era. I will link it to you once it's up.
