Psionic Technology: Does the TL 16 Advanced Psionic Shield have the same weaknesses as the TL 12 version?

Morning PDT Spartan159,
Until you brought up the question my only review of the Psionic Shield options was to set-up the option to choose which one to install on a design.
I have a couple opinions depending on how one interrupts the rules/guidelines.
1. Since there is no information that TL 16 Advance Psionic Shielding indicating otherwise the option has the same rules or guidelines as the TL 12 version.
2. Based on other options that have multiple options the hull size coverage is increased (300 to 500, 500 to 700, and 100 to 300), or the DM goes from -4 to -5 and -2 to - 3, or both hull size and DM is modified.
3. The TL 16 versions makes any size hull invulnerable.
4. The Referee/Designer decides if the TL 16 shield has the same weaknesses and the TL 12 version
Items 1 and 4 could be switched in position but my first thought was that they have the same weaknesses.
