What a pain to assemble!

Am I right in thinking I'm going to have to cut the two innermost underside legs for the base stem?

I think I have to pin every single leg!

I drilled the mounting holes a little deeper but did not pin every arm. The stand fits between two legs, but mount the stand first.

I did it slowly, two arms at a time, working outwards. I allowed the two arms I had fixed to set firmly before doing the next two.

I did mine similarly to Greg with the exceptions that:

a) I didn't pin the holes or even drill them any deeper. Good positioning and enough superglue are actually enough for this job.

b) The base hole I did drill a bit further forwards but then I drill all of my holes anyway and tend to try and rebalance them to match the centre of gravity.

c) One spine was only half cast so I had to build a new one with green stuff. Actually this was very easy in this case as I could just fuse a tube of green stuff to the stem of the spine in a rough shape then carve it away to a point!

Best of luck with yours :)

I was putting the legs on in the wrong places. I blew up the picture on this site and had at last decent reference (SFOS book way too small.)

I drilled the top holes through the body and then inserted a wire through the hole thus giving me a long peg for the upper and lower legs. I then drilled out each leg to accept the wire. With glue and aching fingers, I fished 6 of the buggers today -- all that came in the fleet box. Man, what a chore. Does anyone every really field 6 Scouts.

OUCH

i just superglued it till my own flesh held the legs into position it took a few weeks for my skin to grow back but i belive mr morden would have something to say on that matter
