Hammer's Slammers - In Potter's Field

Hi,

I'm getting ready to run the S&P 73's Hammer's Slammers scenario (called In Potter's Field) in a month or so.

I've looked at the scenario and it clearly states "Before running the scenario, print out the map of Potter's Field and review the information about the village and the events. You should also print out the briefing cube handout and give that to the players".

Help! Where can I find the missing materials?

TIA,

Ian

The briefing cube data is in the article - it's just not in handout form. Cut and paste the section starting with 'Operation MATTERHORN - Whetstone' up to 'Briefing Cube Ends' and give that to the players to ignore.

As for the map - I wasn't able to get one ready in time for the S&P deadline, unfortunately. I'll try to sketch one up, but I'm off to a con this weekend, so it'll be a few days.

Thanks for the prompt reply! At the moment I'm running Tripwire and I'm going to run with Hammer's Slammers using Potter's Field as the foundations. I've (now) read Potter's Field and am continuing with reading the Hammer's Slammers rule book.

BTW, to quote the Mongoose website
... take the part of tank crews and specialists within the best known and most capable mercenary unit in the galaxy! This full colour hardback is packed full of the history of the Slammers, the weapons, vehicles and tactics they use, new careers – all rounded off by a series of missions to get you started.

Apologies - I haven't read the HS book fully - did the series of missions make it into the book and if so, what page are they on?

To answer my own question - they're in the Conflict chapter, page 184. I've other questions but they can wait till I've digested the book :)

While I've had the HS book for a bit, the opportunity to read it has been evading me...

Until now, and I wish I had gotten around to it sooner. It's a great book. I'm not one to be a fan of color on shiny pages but I guess that is the least expensive way to do it.

Again, great book and I'm looking at running the two HS adventures (back of book and S&P).
