Just a suggestion for a setting for other Traveller rules settings ...H Beam Piper's Space Viking

Various Space Viking Sword Worlds, Marduk, Tanith,Aton,Klepteru,Amaterasu,Beowulf... Mad Duncan's fleet...


I know, it influenced the original Traveller universe, But Piper's universe is interesting in its own right.. No existing big Empire, just a shattered mess where advanced worlds raid and plunder less developed worlds, unless they
are protecting it as a client trade state.

Actually, Rogue Games is releasing a licensed supplement for their SF RPG Thousand Suns in March, I believe. It's called Transmissions from Piper. Should be exactly what you're looking for, and I suspect easily used as a resource for Traveller.

It's been years since I last read Space Viking and I have very positive memories of the book ... however, I have to wonder how many gamers are even familiar with Piper's writing anymore. I can't even recall the last time I saw any of his books in the bookstore.
