GW flying bases

Anyone got any thoughts on GW disscontinuing the flying bases.

I say they are prats.

I was informed when I went to get some thismorning from my local hobby shop.

I think they are phasing BFG out, could be wrong, but recently, they only had 3 miniatures for sale for BFG.

From what I heard from my LGS, they are redesigning the GW Flying base. That's why it is currently unavailable.

As far as I understand it from my GW sales rep they aren't discontinuing the flying bases. They're repackaing them at the moment so they're unavailable to retailers. Now, that's is according to my sales rep and I HAVE gotten bad info in the past but there's really no reason for them to discontinue making the bases and little reason or them to stop selling them separately. YMMV

Actually I'll call them now and see if that's still the case and if so when we can expect them to be available again. I am in the States Derina so I a not sure if the timetable will be the same on your side of the pond but I don't see why it'd be too far off from us here in the colonies. If we do get them earlier than the rest of the world I'd gladly ship you a few, or a few packages if it'd help.

for UK with GW we generally same or earlier than states.

bit anoying for us elf players with warhawks and eagles though. plus i use GW bases on my ACTA minis as they generally fit the holes better than mongooses bases.

I tried to get some a couple of weeks ago at GW and was told they've been temporarily withdrawn to be repackaged. Now, why they need to repackage flying bases is anyone's guess, but they haven't been taken out of circulation, so there's no need to panic. They're just unavailable right now.

i use small GW bases in place of small mongoose bases (which are really small!)
and the large GW base on really big minis - currently only my Poseidon.

Probable so that the can put less in a pack and charge more for them

from what i have been told GW have removed ALL miniture bases for repackageing. you will no longer be able to buy single packs of bases but it will now be a mix of all the bases, so you will have to buy bases you do not require. :x as i say, its what i have been told.

I recall saying something to this effect a few months ago: is GW finally getting around to it?

I'm sure we can find stands elsewhere cheaper/better. So far, I haven't found anything that GW does better than anyone else. That's just me, though.
